Councilmember Melissa Vecchio

Melissa lived most of her life in the neighboring town of Hazlet before making Keyport her home nearly 10 years ago. She currently lives in Keyport with both her husband and daughter. Her husband’s family has been a part of Keyport since the 1850’s and she feels blessed that their daughter is now being raised in Keyport as well.

 Melissa earned her B.A. at Monmouth University in Communications with a focus on Journalism & Public Relations. She has worked full time in her field for over 20 years. She’s confident that her job experience in both listening to people and problem solving will be a great asset in her new role as Keyport Councilmember.

 Traveling the USA with her family is one of Melissa’s passions. At the age of 6 her daughter is already at 25 states and counting. Melissa also enjoys being active at her daughter’s school, participating with the PTA and being involved in her church. She thrives on immersing herself in anything she is a part of and looks forward to bringing that dedication to the town of Keyport.
