Police Department
The Keyport Police Department was established December 13,1926 but organized law enforcement has existed in Keyport since 1850, when the town had a town marshal and constable who were assigned to patrol the business district and wharf areas.
The Police Department, under the direction of Police Chief Shannon Torres and supervision of a Captain, Lieutenant, and Sergeants, Detective Bureau and Police Officers providing patrol and detective services. The department is supplemented with a complement of School Crossing Guards and Special Law Enforcement Officers who serve as needed.
All work diligently to keep Keyport safe for residents, business owners and visitors.
