Mayor Rose P. Araneo
Rose P. Araneo is a resident of Keyport with four generations of family from Keyport. She is one of eight children born in Irvington and raised in Keyport. She has resided with her fiancé and best friend, Jim Bishop and their two Pekinese fur babies Nico & Bella, on Fulton Street for the past 6 years.
She is proudly serving her first term as Mayor after previously being elected to the Borough Council in 2021. Business is what she does and her commitment to Keyport is on transparency to the community and will work as hard for Keyport as she does in business.
Her strength and background focus on business operations and finance. She has earned significant accomplishments and achievements throughout her career at each of the companies she has worked.
Her career began in fragrances with Paul Sebastian, Inc. in 1984 as Director of Marketing, launching brands that include Paul Sebastian, Design, Nautica, Jones New York and Mark Cross. During her 14 years with Paul Sebastian Inc., she held executive positions as Director of Marketing, Director of Purchasing, Vice President of Purchasing and Sr. Vice President of Operations until the company was sold in 1998.
Rose continued her career with Au’some Inc., an International Candy Manufacturing & Distribution Company, where she was Sr. Vice President and controlled every aspect of the business operations with manufacturing plants in China and South Carolina and more than 150 employees reporting directly to her.She controlled all the business operations including, development of products/ licensing deals/ planning/procurement/production/operations and finance, which she continued for 18 years until the company was sold in 2016.
Currently, she is Vice President of Operations for 3rd Party Logistics Group, a beauty fulfillment company, since 2017.In this position she handles all the business operations and finance with 48+ employees directly reporting to her.
Mayor Araneo also serves on the Women’s Initiative Team, with Assemblywoman Vicky Flynn, representing Legislative District 13.
Keyport is her hometown and living near the bay gives her the opportunity to enjoy crabbing at the waterfront, and appreciating the beautiful beaches of the Jersey Shore. Rose lives by the belief that enjoying what you do every day contributes to your success in business and personal happiness.
