Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative (KBBC)

The Keyport Business Improvement District was established by the Mayor and Borough Council in 1999 (Ordinance No. 25-99) in accordance with New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 40:56-65 et seq.).

The ordinance establishing the Keyport Business Improvement District and subsequent amendments are included in Chapter 25 of the Borough Code.  This ordinance designates Keyport BID, Inc., which does business as the Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative (KBBC), as the district management corporation of the improvement district.

The KBBC operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors which includes the:

   a)  the Mayor: Rose P. Araneo  
   b)   a member of the Borough Council:   
   c)  a designated Borough official:   
   d)  a Keyport resident:   
   e)  and nine (9) elected business operators/commercial property owners.

Any resident interested in serving on the Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative Board of Directors should submit a completed Volunteer Application/Citizen Leadership form to the Borough Clerk.

Public meetings of the Board of Directors are held monthly in the Municipal Building, 70 West Front Street, Keyport.

The KBBC welcomes the involvement of the Keyport business community in various committees. Meetings of the Events Committee, Visual Improvements Committee and Visual Improvement Highway Sub-Committee are regularly scheduled.
