What is LWYW- Keyport?
Live Where You Work is a special home mortgage incentive program that provides low-interest mortgage loans to people who work in Keyport and who are looking to purchase a home in Keyport.  Some of the goals include strengthening our neighborhoods and increasing community involvement through homeownership, attracting individuals who work in Keyport to also live in Keyport.   The LWYW program develops a positive relationship between the Municipality, Residents and Local Business.

What are the Benefits of the LWYW Program?
Low-interest mortgage for homebuyers
More flexible underwriting criteria for the loan qualification process Down payment and closing cost assistance of up to 5% of the mortgage amount of a home located within a Smart Growth Area. Assistance does not have to be repaid if you live in the house for seven + years.  To determine whether a home is in a Smart Growth Area, go to www.nj.locator.gov.  Choose HMFA Program Eligibility Tool and enter the property address.
