 Court is held every Wednesday at 4:00 PM at the Municipal Building. 

The Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction.  It accepts for filing all complaints signed by law enforcement officers and private citizens for alleged violations occuring within its jurisdiction, holds probable cause hearings, conducts trials involving New Jersey's motor vehicle and criminal (petty disorderly and disorderly persons offenses) statutes, municipal ordinances and certain other regulations, such as fish and game and boating regulations.  This court also accepts payments of fines through its Violations Bureau.  Checks, cash and money orders are accepted at the court office.

In addition to paying motor vehicle summons through NJMCDIRECT, the public can now make Time Payments, and inquire about the balance of fines and costs online. The site also offers a direct link to the Motor Vehicle Commission enabling users to pay MVC fees and surcharges directly and allows them to re-establish driving privileges that may have been suspended. Additionally, users can now access MCDIRECT to run a statewide check by license plate number, to see if they have outstanding MV tickets in any Municipal Court in New Jersey.
