News Release - October 15, 2012

Attached is a Press Release issued yesterday regarding a Natural Hazard Survey for Monmouth County residents.  There is a link to it on the Sheriff’s website, OEM, hazard mitigation planning.  Please make an effort to notify your residents about this survey.  Two methods would be to post a link to the survey on your municipal website and leave printed copies of this Press Release in your municipal complex for the public.

As a reminder, part of this plan update requires all jurisdictions to perform methods of public outreach in order to notify residents about the Mitigation Plan update.

Attached also is the Outreach Log and the Hours Log Sheet. The hours log sheet is also a requirement for every municipality to document all the time you or any municipal official spend on the Mitigation Plan Update.  For volunteers and/or unpaid OEM Coordinators, until I hear differently, we will use the FEMA reimbursement rate of $28.25 per hour.

Please do not hesitate to contact this office with any questions.

Thank you!
